Although I only recently joined in September, I’ve had a great time with Coach Robby in the U16 Reds team, winning the Abu Dhabi trophy in January and making lots of memories with my teammates. The coaches are inspiring and encouraging, knowing how to push the team to their potential while also making sure everyone is included and enjoys themselves. Im excited for my future here at Gulf united.

Being part of the U17s has honestly been an unforgettable experience. The intensity in training is high, the standards are serious, and every session pushes you to become better physically, mentally, and technically. The coaches demand a lot from you, but it’s because they truly care about your development. At the same time, it feels like a family. The players support each other, compete hard, and grow together. There’s passion, discipline, pressure, and also real unity. You feel challenged, motivated, and proud to be part of something bigger than yourself. I’ve improved a lot since joining, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be in this environment. It’s the perfect place for any player who wants to work hard, grow, and be part of a strong football family. Up the Gulf 🦅

My son has been playing at the club for U11s and U12s and his development has been excellent. He comes to practice 3x per week at Kings Al Barsha, and the boys have developed a genuine camaraderie. Team spirit is there, and the coaches nurture that atmosphere bringing the boys together whilst focusing on specific objectives. It’s not all about winning (albeit everyone wants to win), as in each match the boys are encouraged to put at play what they learned in training, reinforcing the fundamentals. More importantly, the ethos instilled by the coaches, coupled with the tools and skills they learn at training, have helped the boys build character, sportsmanship, and discipline. It’s a great club and I’d thoroughly recommend it. Shout out to coach Lee as well.

As a U16 player at Gulf United, I can honestly say this academy feels different from anywhere else I’ve trained. From the moment you arrive at sessions, you can feel the intensity and the standards. It doesn’t feel like a typical youth team — it feels professional. At U16 level, we’re treated seriously. Every training session has purpose. We work on tactical positioning, pressing as a team, building from the back, transitions, and understanding the game properly. It’s not just about effort — it’s about intelligence. You’re expected to think quickly, make good decisions, and understand your role within the system. The competition within the squad is one of the biggest reasons I’ve improved. Everyone wants to start. Everyone wants to prove themselves. That pushes me to raise my level every week. The coaching is another huge advantage. The coaches don’t just tell us what to do — they explain why. They focus on details like body shape, scanning before receiving, timing of runs, defensive awareness, and decision-making under pressure. After each session, I genuinely feel like I’ve developed something specific. Physically, I’ve grown a lot since joining. My speed, endurance, and strength have all improved because training is built around real match demands. It’s football-specific, not random fitness. Mentally, I’ve also matured. The discipline, the accountability, and the high expectations have changed my mindset completely. What stands out most is the ambition of the club. It feels bigger than just a local academy. There’s a clear identity across all age groups, and by the time you reach U16, you understand exactly how Gulf United wants to play. It’s structured, organized, and consistent. Overall, being part of the U16 team at Gulf United has been one of the best experiences of my football journey so far. It pushes me every week and makes me believe I’m developing in the right environment. I’m proud to be part of it.
